Found while hiking, possible polyergus sp + pogonomyrmex sp. Newhall, CA

I found a queen that resembles a polyergus queen, her gaster has a pretty cool silver pattern on it. I couldn’t really picture it all to well since she kept moving, and the test tube she’s in is really dirty.

I’m questioning the pogonomyrmex, because I’m not to sure if its californicus, occidentalis, or subniditis. Most of the pogonomyrmex were different sizes, I did notice some that were much larger than the rest.

The Polyergus is P. vinosus. Pogonomyrmex occidentalis doesn't occur anywhere near SoCal and matter of fact is only known from an approximate 50 mile range in NorCal, bordering Nevada. The images of the Pogonomyrmex are inadequate to ID them.
