1. Location (on a map) of collection: Amarillo, Texas
2. Date of collection: 7-3-2024
3. Habitat of collection: back yard, residential area
4. Length (from head to gaster): about 4-5mm
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: reddish, pretty uniform color
6. Distinguishing characteristics: single petiole node
7. Distinguishing behavior: very chill
8. Nest description:
9. Nuptial flight time and date: 7-3-2024 about 10:30pm

A bunch of male and female alates were on a trash bag in my back yard. There is a Pheidole colony nearby, I’m guessing (hoping) these may be Pheidole?

Yes they are P.sp. Maybe P.denata or bicarinata. Edit: they could also be P.morrisii
