I just watched a youtube video and it was about termites and ants. And in the video, a group of Odontomachus is supposedly attacking a termite mound. When Odontomachus is known to be solitary predtors and having small colony, defiently not enough to even attempt a raid at a termite nest. What's even more frustrating is that in the video, they identify the Odontomachus as Carebara diversa, calling them marauders. Then on the next scene, the ants that are attacking aren't even Odontomachus, its some species I can't identify, but they look more like tetramorium than Odontomachus. Then the video says the ants are stealing larvae and brood, while they show a clip of ants CLEARLY carrying ant larvae, callows and naked pupa. Termites don't even have larvae, as far as I know, and go from egg to nymph and grow from there.

I'm more confused and bewildered than angry, and I got nothing against whoever is making this video, but it just makes me sad that people are taking the wrong informations.

My pet peeves involve water feeders:
1) I hate when ants are dumb enough to flood their liquid feeder by sticking trash to it.
2) I hate how my small species choose to use water feeders as nesting space despite the fact that they have big, luxurious, and expensive nests. It makes refilling their water feeder a big hassle.

"The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer." Prov. 30:25
Keep ordinary ants in extraordinary ways.

Sorry, I should have been more clear on this. What I meant was my pet peeves is when a "educational" video gives says the wrong information as if it is fact.

Mine is when they dirty the glass. We need an innovation for nests to be able to replace the glass seamlessly without the need to *intrude* the nest too harshly for the more active species.
