This queen landed on my desk at work tonight, hence the name. She evaded me for a good hour before landing on some paperwork in front of me again. I keep test tubes handy in my car for these occasions. Fingers crossed she's fertile. Long live the office queen.

Wow nice! It's funny how this sort of thing happens. For example me and my friend IdioticMouse26 were hoping to catch a Camponotus modoc queen when we arrived at his house, and then we walked over to his door, and bam there's a queen right there, literally on his doorstep, just waiting for us. Caught her, and is currently doing well with tons of brood. Haha.
Currently raising:
Myrmica rubra (1 queen + ~5 workers)
Lasius niger (single queen + ~90+ workers)
Lasius neoniger (3 single queen + brood)
Formica spp. (Queen [likely parasitic, needs brood])
Formica pacifica (Queen)
Also keeping a friend's tetramorium immigrans for the foreseeable future. Thanks CoffeBlock!
