That's really unfortunate. Not an excuse and no fault of your own, as you were clear on your needs and the urgency, but overpromising from a small business happens often, hence I always overestimate the time needed.
That is really bad customer service to not respond timely given they knew the urgency of your request and prioritize accordingly. Hopefully you get your nest soon.
