I found two queens one week a part back in April, the 23rd and 30th. I'm pretty sure they are the same species, but see the pictures!

 

Found on the sidewalk as I was getting off work around 5. 70F or so.

Length of the queens is around 10mm.

they are camponotus queens, i’m not entirely sure of what species they are/if they are even the same species.
Where do you live?
Currently keeping
-A. occidentalis
-B. patagonicus
-C. vicinus
-F. neogagates
-M. invidia
-Stennama spec..
I will want to also keep some other lasius types in the future.

C. nearcticus or Camponotus nearcticus as genus already. Location already posted in on the top of the thread as Baltimore, MD meaning in Maryland. Good luck with the queen! Fast growers as I have one too and it’s been like 1 1/2 months and she already has pupae which is crazy. What’s even crazier is the fact that she develop so fast due to natural temperature in my room without me changing it.

2x - F. pallidefulva (colonies)             1x T. sessile (mega colony)

2x - C. cerasi (founding)  workers are here!  :yahoo:

1x - B. depilis (founding but no eggs)

2x - P. imparis (colony) 2x P. imparis (founding)  Unfortunately no multi queen P. imparis colonies as all of the queens died due to fungus infection (assumed). RIP  :(
