So my V.pergandei colony is growing at a good pace but 2 workers caught my eye. They both were not able to walk properly. And these were the most recent eclosers. Are the workers not helping the queen? Or can I leave this for them to figure out?

This is the wrong subforum for this thread, but anyway the chamber is probably too dry, causing the ants to fail their eclosing.

As in humidity is too low in the test tube. I’d just move them into a VERY small formicarium, or use a syringe to inject water into the nest if you want to, but my invicta figured this out themselves.

Veromessor pergandei can successfully eclose in <50% humidity with no issues. If the issues keeps persisting I would look into things you're doing that are possibly stressing the colony and possible poisoning issues.

It’s too early to tell if they have any eclosing defects. Most ants that very recently expose walk weirdly, so I’d just keep an eye on them for now if I were you.
