Hey all, this is a journal on my Manica Invidia queens! I’m more than likely only gonna have one queen left as I’m selling/trading too three people who have already Dm’d me about them.

The only queen that I’m keeping is my Pyre Empress, she has a nice batch of eggs and I’m super excited for her. I’m not gonna post any pictures of her yet. I will post pictures of the soon to be shipped queens though for POL. Both the queens that have pictures are different!!

(sorry for blurry and dark photos, my flashlight died)

Ik I shouldn’t check on my M. Invidia queens, but I just can’t help it! These girls are majestic. I can’t wait for them to have their first nanitics.
I spotted one of these girls foraging (I think), so I gave her some sugar water and she happily slurped it all up!

The queen that i’m keeping has a MASSIVE amount of eggs! She has also dug under her test tube, she's been working really hard! (the photo of her eggs was from like 2-3 days ago)

My last queen is doing fairly well. She just ate some honey water, and she also has a pretty nice pile of eggs.

Small update!

My queen has a pile of eggs with around two small larvae. I just fed her honey water again, and she happy slurped it up. I’m very happy that I caught this queen. She is a super nice and red color.

(this post was a scam 😭, i can't see correctly)

My queen has finally gotten larvae!

I've fed her quite a bit, and today at around 9, I let her drink all the bird nectar she would want.

I was SHOCKED at how big she got, I didn't know that queens that are normally that skinny could get that fat  %)

There are two small larvae, and one decently sized larvae. It's crazy to see how the larvae for Manica queens have those tiny little hairs that are actually visible.

I also gave her a crushed up earwig that she happily started feeding to her young larvae, really excited for this queen!

(will hopefully add pictures tomorrow)

Here is a picture of the queen and her larvae, sorry for the really bad quality pictures.
I’ll most likely buy a camera within this year.

When she was full on her hummingbird nectar, her gaster had like a silverish gleam to it, that was pretty cool!

Sorry for not updating this in a while, the queen had eaten her pupae around January 31st, and that’s when it all started going downhill.
She wouldn’t eat anything, nor would she lay any eggs.

This morning, I found her body with monomorium all over her. This is really sad, I hope to find some more manica soon.
