Hello to everyone, my name is Edgar Camponotus,  i´m from Alhandra(Portugal), and i started my ant-keeping journey in this present year of 2024.

I follow a lot of ants channels out there and decided to take a new step in life, instead of just watching and by amazed by the others ants and ant-keepers i will begin my on ant colony, also sharing this experience with my kid and give him some cool things to see and learn about ants and how they work as a group

I don´t found many portuguese people actively speaking in forums about this hobby, so i write this too as a "seek out" for more portuguese ant-keepers out there.

As for my ants i have my first colony from antcube.com, its a lasius niger colony (native to my country) and they are growing well  :D .

Cheers to everyone

Cheers to ant and ant-lovers

Hi there!

Greetings from Germany!

I hope you have lots of fun with your new pets and meet lots of nice new people here.

I love my AntCube, so starting out with stuff from Antstore is a good way, even if it is a bit expensive.

You have many very cool ant species in Portugal, as a German I am a bit jealous (but Messor harvester ants always have been among my favorites, ever since my first holiday in Spain).

Actually, my small Camponotus piceus colony is actually from Portugal!
