Wish I could send some, but I of course live in Florida. Go to a wooden area and flip rocks and wood pieces like your life depends on it! What's going on?
Ants are small creatures... but together... they can rule the world.
I neglected a colony for a year and for spring cleaning I found them in my garage with 2 workers left and 1 small larva.

I put them on heat but to really bounce back I would need to brood boost this colony as they once had 37 workers.

I tried that with a few workers but there aren't many Camponotus in Rocklin that I can see,

If you have a lot of time on your hands you could follow foragers back to the nest, but they probably won’t work. I’m not sure what size your Camponotus species is, perhaps some large Formica brood will be accepted? Do you have other Camponotus colonies? You can borrow their brood (no more than half though) just to give your less fortunate colony a push in the right direction. No they weren't accepted and they do have a queen. But I don't have any in the rocking area. I have only seen so!e foragers twice and.that was in Davis I will go there this weekend and try and find some.
