Today I went to the park and found a fire ant colony (At least that's what I think it was). It was preparing for nuptial flight. There were alates all around the mound warming up their wings and getting ready to fly. Just before they were to take off a kid came over and kicked the nest a few times. :mad:  :(  :/  :facepalm:

I thought I found a fire ant founding chamber but I couldn't find the queen.

Keep searching if there were a few flights like you said there should be tons of founding chambers in small dirt mounds, under rocks , or in logs.

The problem about antkeeping is that not a lot of people actually care about ants

I don't think those are fire ants flying right now anywhere near Henderson, NV.

On your flight chart it states that Invicta is should be flying in March
