My brother's new colony of S.xyloni (At least that's what we think it is) moved under a rock. Any tips?

Well for a large colony (or any large colony of any species really) you have to feed them protein and sugars pretty often. Any pics? We can get a good look of what we might need to give you tips on if we take a looks at the colony. Other than that, growth will be very abundant if you feed them both proteins and sugars, at least twice a week, or once every week.

Oh wait my bad. There were already pics of your ant in the “New Colony” Post. Yeah, that is more likely S. xyloni.
If you can find the queen, then get a pic of her.

maybe remove the rock. I feel that the ants feel that it it a better nesting place.

Or shine a bright light at the rock. Not sunlight and don't let it get hot.

warm them up a little.
