Does anyone know where in Southern Nevada I should go to catch queen ants?

If you are near Mt. Charleston go up to the elevations where the pines start taking 157 to the town of Mt. Charleston and you will find Tapinoma schreiberi!!  I went there to find colonies to get field data for my species description paper.  They will be in the leaf litter.

I went there on an anting trip back in 2022 and I found 5 C.Vicinus queens.

You should have no problem finding Carpenters in those mountains but most harvesters are around deserts.

Right I forgot about that rule. My mind thought it was illegal to collect from private property. But that is also true.
