Good morning all,
If you have mite issues, for example the dreaded grain mite Acarus sp., then you will find a solution with Stratiolaelaps scimitius.
As a general rule of thumb, my theory is that ants require the same balanced biome that they evolved in -- which is soil. Within the soil are all kinds of creatures to keep that balance in check. When you remove something from the biome, another will take its place. If you remove the biome, everything starts to crash. Over the years, I've noticed this with many of my own colonies & those of my peers.
Since 2018 (pre-pandemic), I've been keeping these mites & beneficial organisms in my colonies and have never had any mite issues!
