Well from what I believe, based on the darker appearance it is making me assume that yes, this is O. haematodus. And you did say in some previous messages that you caught more of them, and this species is a relatively common species so it makes sense.

Guys since we are getting nanitics soon i need to ask you a VERY important question, and its this,What substrate should i use for their new nest??? I'm planning on using a 3 gallon fishtank for their new nest, sand? Dirt? Mud?

I would use sand. but dirt could work just a thin layer.

Great job! You should try to imitate where they nest in the wild. Odontomachus nest in soil with rotting logs and plenty of leaf litter, therefore this should be what you put in their terrarium.

Since it will be a big terrarium (I assume), you are really just not able to view the nest unless they dig right up by the glass which they normally don't. You could also try something like this: https://www.formicul..._295_289362.jpg Just replace the centrepiece with a plastic box, this will make it easier to view as the ants will be pushed up against the glass.

Then the ants will dig in to those sides up and near the glass. And the depending on where they have dug, you can turn the terrarium around to your desired point of view for the nest.
