Caught with a blacklight trap in our backyard in Honolulu, Hawaii on 10/27 around 630pm. She broke off her wings shortly after. About 6mm in length with 2 petiole nodes. Shiny and golden amber in color with her legs lighter gold & gaster a dark brown. First time seeing this type of ant in our area. TIA for any help!

I think Solenopsis. Idk wether it's a theif ant or fire ant. I think maybe fire ant but it's shape and colors make me second guess myself.

Solenopsis papuana. To my knowledge you’re the first antkeeper to find one of these, so that’s a really nice find!

Not Solenopsis with a 3-segmented antennal club and 12 antennomeres overall (visible with a close look at the last picture, where the antennae are almost in focus). Looks to me like Monomorium floricola.

aren’t floricola queens ergatoid though? This was caught at a blacklight and had wings.

I was thinking Trichomyrmex destructor. That was what I thought when reading this thread a couple months back, but forgot to type up a reply. M. floricola queens are a bit too small I think; AntsAnting808 mentioned his queen was around 6mm long in his original post. Not sure how large S. papuana queens are, but I also doubt it was S. papuana because they seem to also have rather small queens.
