You can still feed the queens, I would rather feed them before they get workers then feed them when they get workers because solenopsis xyloni nanitics are TINY. (I'm talkin abt like honey or anything that they could drown in.) protein is fine

I mean no offense to AsdinAnts, but feeding her protein/honey will just stress her out. Even if nanitics are tiny, just feed tiny portions. They are fully claustral, so there is no point.

Some bad news. One queen died. She was at the cotton, hunched over. The other two are fine tho, with more larvae.

you should try to heat them, also give the deads queen larvae to one of the two surviving ones/split it evenly between the two queens.
edit: nvm i js remembered that you put all three of them together

Any updates on this?

Hit us with some neat pictures / videos too when you have to chance and good luck with your two remaining Queen ants.

I know some of you guys might get annoyed at me asking for pictures, but pictures worth a thousand words and it's always interesting to SEE what you guys are up to with your colonies :D

I had a solenopsis invicta queen like two days ago, but when I came back she was dead 😥
edit: Did you mix the two S. xyloni queens together? S. xyloni isn’t polygynous and after the nanitics come, one or both of the queens may end up dying.

i will no longer be posting on formiculture. As of 2/5/24, i was forced to kill my ant queens and throw away my ant things by my grandmother. Goodbye.

I might come back, who knows.
