Can i put temnothorax albipennis with a formica in same outworld? as a companion.
No I'm pretty sure they will fight and you could potentially loose them both to injury .
Unless the the two colonies are small and the foraging area is massive (over 2 feet wide) and filled with all kinds of food, I would not even attempt it.
Either way, I would still expect to see casualites over time.

I think there are definitely ants you can do this with though. Some ants even live within the same nest as others in the wild, but they usually have very different niches.

You're say ants of two different species sharing a nest? I've never heard of this. (Of course, I'm no expert.) Can anyone else confirm/deny this?

I have also seen this in the wild. But putting ants in captivity changes a lot of things.
You can always try puttinga few wild workers in an outworld for a few months and see how it goes. Let us know if it works out.

I wouldn't risk it. But I would like to see some Solenopis Molesta with a larger species. They are called "thief ants," after all.
Species I keep:
1 Lasius cf. Neoniger 30 workers
1 Camponotus sp. 15 workers
20 Tetramorium SpE 30 workers
1 T. Sessile 200 workers
I noticed that most ants here tend to ignore Leptothorax their only enemies seem to be other Leptothorax and possibly smaller ants like Tetramorium, the Leptothorax however don't nest with other ants.
oK thanks for you time.
I found one of my Leptothorax acervorum furaging in the Formica cunicularia box. Usually every single insect, put in this box, is attacked and killed immediately. I don't know how they do this, but it's pretty surprising.
If the furaging area is structured enogh, the chance is higher for them to survive, but the nest antrance should be safe!
Thief ants like Solenopsis molest or fugax should not be put to another colony they could be a real threat for them, because these ants live from the brood and pupae.
