Oh no. I think I may have combined a xyloni queen and invicta queen in a test tube. One queen is black with a red head, and one is red with a black abdomen. These are traits of xyloni and invicta respectively. I have yet to look at the clypeal tooth, but if my worst fears are confirmed, then they are two different species. What should I do? I don't want either to start over with their egg laying, but they may kill each other.
Currently keeping: Pheidole obscurithorax (FINALLY I CAN STUDY THEM AND HAVE THEIR COOL MAJORS ), Tetramorium bicarinatum, Solenopsis spp. (probably xyloni, the queens are tiny hehe)
Wanting: Atta texana, Camponotus planatus (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HOOK ME UP WITH ATTA)
Previously kept: Monomorium minimum, Pheidole dentata
"ATTAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!" -Me

Fortunately they have not ripped each other to pieces yet. How should I go about separating them?

They will likely tear each other to pieces. I don’t have luck with multi queen Solenopsis colonies…
Letting it run its course could lead to both queens dying in a fight… might not but..
