I caught a Camponotus Floridanus colony in my friends chicken coop. They have around 15 workers.

The Queen Monsoon laid a huge batch of eggs on her third day.

Why hello! :D I’m so curious about this nest you made at such a young age! How do you hydrate it?

I really did no think about hydration as a third grader but I guess you could use it species that dislike humidity.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Her highness died.

What to do.

Should I introduce a new queen.

Or should I release them.

Sorry to hear that. As this is a Camponotus colony and therefore would kill every new Queen you put in there, this colony is not going to make it. You could still keep the workers but in the end they will all die without reproducing new workers.

You should gut-load them with nectar and feed them to your other ants.

"The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer." Prov. 30:25
Keep ordinary ants in extraordinary ways.

I found another queenless c.floridanus colony. There was a dead queen smack in the middle of their nest. I collected the orphan workers and threw them with my other orphaned colony. They merged. I have no clue what to do with my about 60 workers orphan colony

Floridanus are oliginous so its worth a shot.
