Saw this and my ant enthus. side instantly got reminded of an ant queen and her large, egg filled abdomen.

Funny thing is they actually would! Phronima (the parasite in the photo) served as the inspiration for the xenomorph queen in the alien films and the xenomorphs are a eusocial species with a colony structure based on ants!
