Hey all!
These beautiful workers have a nest in my wooden garden retaining wall, I was hoping I could get an ID. Sorry that the photos are flipped to the left, I don't why that is. They are about 4mm in length. Their abdomens appear to shine metallic purple and their heads are almost a dark, metallic blue. I was wondering if they were Iridomyrmex sp. due to their beautiful iridescence, and I had an Iridomyrmex nuptial flight about 20m away from this nest site.
