I have a colony of Ondontomachus.  The colony was queen right for a year but she died approximately 4 months ago.  In the interregnum a worker has been producing eggs  which have successfully hatched.  Have any of you who have kept ants of this genus had a similar experience.  I have yet to determine which worker is the dominant in the group.

I've had some Veromessor lariversi workers produce males after they flooded their test tube and kill their prior reproductive.

My Trachymyrmex have produced reproductives along with my colonies of Tapinoma helenae and Camponotus planatus  .  I have a colony of Crematogaster missouriensis that have produced ergatoid males this year.
