[SOLD]

For the next month I will be downsizing and selling my founding queens at very low prices. Each queen will come in a suitable founding setup, and will be guaranteed fertile. All of the species listed below have brood and many queens may have workers by the time of purchase. I have multiples of many of the species listed. I will send images of any of the queens/colonies below if interested. Rest assured none of these colonies and queens were dug up from pre-existing colonies, and all queens were found within Utah.

I ship throughout Utah, and I can ship to those with proof of permits outside the state. Direct pickup is also an option. 2 day shipping is $10 for in-state purchases with free shipping for purchases over $50. DOA refund.

Feel free to message me by shooting me a PM on the forum or contacting me through KSL. It's first come first serve until stock is depleted, and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

I think probably a different morph of Formica nr. Pallidefulva or something related to Pacifica.(If only I had permits)

Edit: I used Google lens and it came up with Formica rufibarbis and they look very similar there have been records in the us that may be it but maybe they are just related.

I've kept F. neorufibarbis, a similar species in the US to F. rufibarbis, but these queens are a bit larger and established in arid climates.

2024 Flash Sale - Slashed prices and free harvester colonies!

This fall sale is live for next few weeks! I have multiples of many of the species listed. Pictures of specified colonies can be sent upon request. Rest assured none of these ants were dug up from pre-existing colonies. All queens were found within Utah.

I ship throughout Utah, and I can ship to those with proof of permits outside the state. Direct pickup is also an option. 2-4 day priority shipping is $15 for in-state purchases with free shipping for all orders over $150. DOA refund for all colonies.

Feel free to contact me by sending me a PM on the forum or contacting me through KSL. It's first come, first serve until stock is depleted, and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

KSL listinghttps://classifieds....isting/75928336

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Beginner Species:

Pheidole Ceres - Big Headed ants - ($10). Desert-dwelling ants with big-headed majors that thrive on heat and protein. A blast to keep for any skill level. 15 healthy colonies available with 50-100 workers and majors!

Lasius cf. americanus - Common Garden ant ($10) Easy beginner species that will overwinter the first year before laying eggs.

(SALE) - Aphaenogaster occidentalis - western funnel ants. ($40) Medium sized ants with beautiful coloration. These ants have no social stomach and so exhibit one of the most impressive feeding responses of any ant I have seen. One voracious colony with 2 queens, 200 workers, and lots of brood in an all-in-one formicarium.

Intermediate species:

(SALE) - Desert Formica sp. - Fast moving predatory ants. I have 3 different species, all around the same size but with different colorations. ($10 to $35) for each colony depending on species. Small Dark morph is $10, Large Dark Morph is $20, Red Tiger morph is $35. Colonies have 10-30 workers each.

Pogonomyrmex occidentalis - The active western harvester ant ($30). The iconic red harvester species. Will harvest seeds as primary protein source. Grows quickly with lots of seeds and heat. Fun to watch forage. 3 active colonies available with 3-10 workers. Available for legal interstate purchase!

(SALE) - Pogonomyrmex rugosus ($10) - Rough harvester ants. The largest harvester ant in Utah, this species has large dark red and black workers that are extremely active foragers. A blast to keep! 15 active colonies available with 3-10 workers. FREE Colony with any in-state order!

Advanced species:

(SALE) - Parasitic Formica sp. - Slave raiding wood ants ($40). This a colony with around 40 workers. The parasitic queen (likely Formica integra group) was introduced successfully a few months ago. This species will overwinter and produce biological workers next season to replace the host workers from this season. They can be given additional host brood (such as Formica fusca group) to raise as their own next season.

Myrmecocystus mexicanus - Golden Honeypot ants ($80). One of the largest honeypot ants in the world, this species is as alien as it is amazing. Workers will form repletes to store sugars. A fast moving and fast growing ant species, they will require heat and suitable formicaria. 2 healthy colonies available in small formicariums. (See my other listing for more on this species!)
