Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?

There are so many fascinating ants right were you live!

I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that are not found in your area.

Keep looking man! maybe you'll find some :D ! The major difference between workers and queens is that queens have bigger gasters. Also look for wing scars on the queen's thorax.

"I am here on Earth, and I am only a speck of sand in the desert, a blade of grass in a field. I am no greater than any one of these busy ants who build for each other's comfort. " - King Solomon

Currently keeping: Myrmecocystus Depilis, Pogonomyrmex Rugosus

Wishlist: Camponotus Ocreatus

Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. -Proverbs 6: 6-8

Is that even an ant? The face and antenne don't look ant-like to me, especially in the first picture.

It is an ant, probably a Diacamma worker.
