Hello,

Fairly new to Formiculture.com. I've been loving it so thanks for putting it together. I can't help but notice there has been a lot of double posts. I saw in another post the admin said they needed to do some server maintenance to fix it but just haven't had time yet since life was getting real. I work as a web software engineer by trade, particularly on the front-end side, and I thought of what could be an easy solution to this would simply be setting the Post New Topic button to a disabled state on click.

I also realize if the admin is hosting this site on a private server they're probably also pretty good at this stuff, and maybe already thought of this, but it seems like a simple fix that would prevent a lot of headache and having to delete double posts until the server maintenance can be completed. Also not sure if the forum software is even something you can even edit or if you just have to use it as is.

Maybe there is a use case I'm not thinking of where you wouldn't want to disable the Post New Topic button on first click that I haven't encountered being new here and all, but just thought I'd throw out a friendly suggestion in case it was of any help. :)

I just did post the same thing 4 times accidentally. I think it is particularly difficult to understand this in mobile version. Also I think topic cannot be deleted ? So I can't do anything about it.

To delete a post or topic you will need to ask a moderator. I think that the main way to stop posting things multiple times on accident is just to remember to only press the post button ONCE even if it does not load; if it does not load you can either refresh the page or close it and open a new one.

There is currently a system in place that dspdrew created that attempts to stop buttons from being clicked multiple times in a set amount of time. However, since the servers are really slow, especially lately, I am not sure how much that works.
