I think I caught some males when black lighting at 4 am. My question whether queens fly when it’s light or still dark.

I see most Pheidole flying at dusk so Tysoni are probably the same. One of my favorite species btw.

not tysoni fly early morning 3-5 am.I see most Pheidole flying at dusk so Tysoni are probably the same. One of my favorite species btw.

I have seen pheidole tysoni nests under rocks recently, and I've noticed alates so they must be flying near me soon. Also I own a colony of them.

Flight on Long Island this morning. Caught around 8 queens. Separated them in groups and they all layers eggs.
