Just wondering what camera/lens you guys use, as I might save up for a nice one, so I wanted to get some ideas. Oh, and I would be using it for almost exclusively macro photography.

Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?
There are so many fascinating ants right were you live!
I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that are not found in your area.
I use a Raynox DCR-250 on various super zoom cameras. Quite expensive close-up lens but it delivers high image quality. It requires a camera/camcorder with at least 150 mm focal length lens.
Both pictures were taken at 600 mm focal length. Without close-up lens I had to be 2 m away from the orchid, with close-up lens I could move as close as 12.5 cm:
You can also use it with a camcorder:
On my camera I use it together with a strong flash and soft box:
Together with good lighting you can make some very good pictures:
Mainly this one, you can take some pretty good pictures.
I've also used the one ANTdrew suggested which is great for close ups, but much harder to focus then my primary one which is very easy to focus. Especially with a good phone, it works great.

Interested buying in ants? Feel free to check out my shop!
Feel free to read my journals, like this one.
Wishlist:
Atta sp (wish they were in CA), Crematogaster cerasi, Most Pheidole species
I have 2 macro lenses for my Nikon D500. An AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED (Nikon has discontinued this lens for DSLR cameras but makes a version for their mirrorless cameras, though you may still find one used), and a Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO for the Nikon F mount. I tend to use the 105mm macro in the field as it is fully automatic and has a robust autofocus. I use the 100mm macro indoors when I’m staging shots with flash and fill lighting since it’s fully manual. For illumination I have a Nikon SB-700 Speedlight with softbox filters and a Manfrotto Lumimuse 3 with filters mounted on a Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod for fill lighting.
