For more natural temperatures and no heating needed can I keep ants outdoors?
I have a spot in my backyard where no direct sunlight hits, can I put some of my formicariums there?
There is a giant odorous house ant colony in my backyard beneath the fireplace but I think I can keep them out of my colonies with PTFE and window screen but can that really stop them?

A tray filled with water would work to stop them like a moat.

I but maybe I can just put PTFE of the metal legs of the table so ants can’t climb.
The biggest treat is a odorous house nest that nests beneath the fireplace and has taken over the entire backyard.

The minute it rains or gets very humid, your expensive PTFE will be ruined. Put the metal legs in little cups filled with a vinegar/water mixture.

I changed where my ants are to a room that if I keep the door closed and the window open (with window screen and only when I am at the room) the room gets hot enougth for my ant colonies.
