I had this little novelty skull carved from bone so I put it in with the ants as a decoration. Took some amusing photos and video:

But then I forgot to take it out.

Now it is gone.

Every time I looked they were biting on it... but they do that to *anything* new. Today I gave them a leaf of lettuce from my garden that had aphids on it. They ate the aphids and chewed up the leaf. Do I have ants or puppies?

Also, do you think they ate the bone? Might bone be a good "activity" or "enrichment" for ants?

Starting this July I'm posting videos of my ants every week on youTube.

I like to make relaxing videos that capture the joy of watching ants.

If that sounds like your kind of thing... follow me >here<
