New to the forum and new to ant keeping! Thanks for having me!
I've caught my first two queens just this week. I think both are some type of Tetramorium. One I was able to lure in with a black light. She still has her wings on. Hope she mated. The other I found outside a nest on the sidewalk surrounded by workers. Not sure if she was a newly mated queen and the established colony was attacking her, or if she was the colony's queen and they were moving her out for some reason??? Not sure how to proceed with her. The typical test tube process, or does she need workers if she is an old queen?
