Found this girl today. Pretty sure it's just a worker and not a queen but I was equally excited because I've never seen one in person before! I know the picture quality is pretty bad, but my camera has been acting up.

Odontomachus brunneus?? I didn't know they were in my area. That's the only trap jaw near me though correct?

That looks JUST LIKE my O. brunneus worker. The queens are slightly larger but have a thorax about 3x bigger.


I keep: C. modoc, C. sansabeanus  :D, C. maritimus, Formica argentea, M. mexicanus  :D, Odontomachus brunneus :D, Pogonomyrmex californicus, Pogonomyrmex rugosus,
