Hi,
I have a 1 year-old Camponotus Castaneus queen with 1 worker and a few eggs. The water in their test tube has nearly dried up, and their cotton is moldy. How do I get the colony to move to a new test tube? I have attached another test tube to their AntsCanada test tube portal, and put that new tube in the dark, while the other one is in the light. However, I still can’t get them to move. Any tips would be appreciated!

Connect two test tubes together with tape and they will eventually move in because of the drieness on one side and the moisture on the other.

Or, as a last resort if they don't move in, then just turn it vertically so they fall into the clean test tube.

Just tap her in a new tube, a lot of ant keepers are against it, but I do it every time and they are fine. In my experience if you tape them, the ants won't move.
To get the eggs, wet the end of a toothpick and touch them, they should stick and you can carefully transfer them.
