I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this in, but I need some help. I've had a few ant colonies over the years, but I recently got an already established colony of Temnothorax Nylanderi. They have been thriving and have hundreds of workers, which is large for the species. (from what I've heard anyway)
Recently many Elates have hatched, and will begin to make their nuptial flight soon, usually starting in July / August. I'm not sure what to do as none of my previous colonies have made it far enough to make Elates, and I can't find anything on Google about what to do with them. I was considering simply catching and releasing the Elates if they begin to fly around my room (I usually leave the lid of the terrarium off as it gets extremely humid if I leave it on), however another thing to keep in mind is that the species is not native to my country, however it is native to many countries nearby. Any idea what I can do?
