Hey so I recently found a queen and after asking on the ID forum we discovered it's possible it's some social parasite like Formica Inegra or Formica Rufa so how do I raise a queen with this type of founding strategy?

Thank you so much that helps a lot. My only question is that i found that queen several hours away from me on a camping trip, I live in the suburbs where I still haven't found a Formica colony by my house. Because I live in the northern states the vast majority of ant colonies around here are Tetramorium colonies. Therefore would it be possible to try this with a Tetramorium colony or would it be too different?

No, must be Formica.

Yeah it must be formica, preferably a species in the fusca group though any formica should work. If you can try to get callows, which are newly eclosed workers that are pale in color.
