I found a massacred purple sunbird nest on the ground with one injured hatchling. The hatchling has been fed and raised by me. She is ready to fledge. Sunbirds are nectar drinkers like hummingbirds back home so she has been dining on home made mango juice with a paint brush and some dead ants I find outside. Her dad still visits her to feed her. So I put her outside when that happens.
