Are they fully claustral? Also, what is their common name? It seams that they are a species of crazy ant, but I can't seem to find a common name for them.
Those things are taking over, dang.
Yeah, they've nearly completely replaced native Nylanderia in urban areas in the northeast, and I've found a couple popping up here in Chicago recently.

Yea it’s scary. flavipes, tetras, and lasius are the main dominating ants in my house. Lasius may be native but they also easily outcompete most native ants species. At least in my backyard.Those things are taking over, dang.
I caught 12 flavipes queens in one day, but saw at least five more I didn't collect. I thought they were dying in my yard from contest with Tetramorium, but they seemed to have been coming back strong. I never knew they were invasive.
