I know that I can keep meal worms in the fridge, but are there any other feeder insects that I can keep in there that ants like?

Every kind of feeder can go straight in the freezer. Thaw when you need them. One of the best things about keeping ants is that they do not need live prey.

"The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer." Prov. 30:25
Keep ordinary ants in extraordinary ways.

You can do this, but they are more likely to take fresh food.

Feel free to read my journals, like this one.

Atta sp (wish they were in CA), Crematogaster cerasi, Most Pheidole species

I order a batch of 2 week old crickets and Dubia roaches from Rainbow Mealworms and throw them in the freezer as soon as they arrive. It gives me 4-6 weeks of fresh frozen food for my 3 colonies plus some for my Venus Flytrap ;) I dip them in boiled water for a few seconds to kill grain mites and I’ve had pretty good success over the years.
