A section of my shed was recently built out for me to move my inverts into. A problem that has risen is that wild nylanderia flavipes workers are starting to raid my food dishes and byformica liquid feeders since they can slump under the outworld lid of my camponotus. What are some recommended ways to deal ways to deal with this problem. For context the section is not just a random spot, it’s surrounded by Sheetrock walls that are painted and has flooring so a finished area. The area where they’re coming from is the least closed of area which is the window. I also noticed some on the wood flooring.

Terro ant baits are an option or you could put a barrier on the outside surfaces of your outworlds.

You could try to find the colony and either kill them or collect them.

Keeper of:
Camponotus castaneus | 20-25 workers
Tetramorium Immigrans | 1,000+ workers (yes I gave them a brood boost don’t be salty!)
Aphaenogaster Rudis | 16 workers
Pheidole bicarinata | 50-60 workers

Ants are just better.

I’ve tried fluon, olive oil, and Vaseline. All have not worked. I also have other inverts that are in there and I definitely don’t want them in any danger. Does terra work well

Put the ants on some kind of shelves with their feet in cups of water mixed with vinegar. The water will block them as a moat.

Yes, try creating a moat and use the terro ant bait, it's very effective. Do you have them on a platform? How big is this area you're looking to protect?

it’s built in plywood shelving so there are no legs. I guess I can put a moat around the formicarium

Put a tray under all formicaria and keep it filled with water/vinegar solution.
