Hi, I´m new to the world of ant keeping. I spent most of the winter lurking here in the forum, sucking up information.
I just ordered my first colonie tetramorium caespitum, which should arrive in the next few days.

I already have a few other invert pets (manly isopods and beetles) and I am really exited to get this journey started.

Welcome to the forum! Tetramorium are a fun species to start with. I’m just getting into isopods myself.

Hi there! If you have any questions about caring for T. caespitum, I should able to help. As I have a 500+ worker colony of Tetramorium immigrans in a terrarium (a very similar species to T. caespitum).

Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?

There are so many fascinating ants right were you live!

I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that are not found in your area.
