I'm sorta new here, despite having posted before in the "WTB" section! I've been wanting ants for a long time and finally got some in the winter. I moved into my own place and set up as fast as I could.

I have the following species -

lasius brevicornis (3 queens)

camponotus sansabeanus

crematogaster cerasi

and I'm about to order another species right now! :) So how are you guys? What interests you about ants?

I personally can watch them all day and I love seeing them function.

I just took up ants just a couple weeks ago. Pogonomyrmex occidentalis. I have found them enthralling to just watch. And been really amazed that for a hive creature they seem to have a lot of individual opinions about a lot of things. Like where it's best to pile seeds, or how to best arrange the trash pile.

No plans to go wide with many colonies but i hope to keep this one going and growing for years and years.

Welcome, and nice colonies! I once had a Lasius brevicornis Queen but she died after two years of no workers (she was infertile). I would also like to try Crematogaster.

Welcome! My favorite part of the hobby is the large diversity and unique behaviors exhibited by different ant species, especially social parasites!
