It is C. novaeboracensis.


 Why keep ants that aren't found in your yard?

There are so many fascinating ants right were you live!

I disagree with the keeping/buying of ants that are not found in your area.

I keep: C. modoc, C. sansabeanus  :D, C. maritimus, Formica argentea, M. mexicanus  :D, Odontomachus brunneus :D, Pogonomyrmex californicus, Pogonomyrmex rugosus,

Mine too! I know the camponotus but I won't say it. What's the full species for mine? A tough one

I believe your Pheidole to be gilvescens or cerebrosior.

I read your minds.I searched through every Pheidole and Camponotus species in Cali and compared them to your photos. It was a lot.
