I’ve heard that you should not heat the honeypot genus in the winter, but I have also heard that you should always heat them. I have them on heat right now, which they seem to like. Should I continue heating through winter?

Interested buying in ants? Feel free to check out my shop

Feel free to read my journals, like this one.

Wishlist:

I’m heating mine through the winter and they seem to love it. They are a desert species so I would never fully turn off the heat.

P.S. I have a temperature controller

It probably also depends on what your average room temp is in the winter.

My room stays around the high 70s in winter and sometimes a bit more in summer but I always have my desert ants on heat.
