I was walking outside my school after my Sunday Science Olympiad practice. While I was waiting for Mom. I decided to flip a rock and found a colony under it. There were at least a 100 visible queens. I caught four queens and tons of workers and brood. I have decided to name them the Crystal wings from Wings Of Fire. Does anybody have any tips on these and does pheidole crassicornis breed inside their nest. Thanks bye.

I was just asking because I wanted to know their setup, how they are doing in new nest, ect.

I have them in a small plaster nest that used to house my lasius colony. They egg pile has doubled in size. They devoured one of my fish that died. They also ate about a table spoon of honey.

The nest I moved them into was a little too large. They started piling all their trash into the other chambers (the nest was only three chambers). I had to move them into a test tube but they are still doing fine. Most of the eggs that were laid after I caught them are starting to pupate. And they have two majors!!!!

I successfully moved them all (including the brood). They have settled in nicely. And the have pulled cotton to make like a carpet near the entrance of the tube.

I go to www.postimages.org, upload the photos and then I make sure to copy and paste the "hotlink for forums" link in the post that you want the images in. It has to be "hotlink for forums". Thumbnail will post a tiny pic that you will barely see and everything else will basically fail to load an image but just a link people will have to click to see the photos/videos.
