Beside termite-keeping (and some ant-keeping aswell), i also got the hobby of preparing and displaying dead insect specimens, and at this point i put toghether a collection of several entomological cases... but as a termite enthusiast, there is no specimen i cherish more than these three little buggers that have been gifted to me by the Termite Research Team; no Goliathus, Macrodontia or Megasoma can come even close!

They are soldier of Syntermes, one of my favorite termite genera, and though this (unknown) species is far from being the largest around, they're still quite impressive termites, even when faded by the alchohol they've been preserved in for many years... just look at their spiky thoraxes!

Ah, what would i give for a living colony of these open-foraging, litter-feeding beauties  :D
