For my own peace of mind I would like to have these ants identified so I can be certain of the species that I am observing and reporting on.  I live just north of London, Ontario, Canada.  I find these ants nesting in the clay loam soil of my garden.  They aren't very common in this area.  A colony that I keep has grown tremendously in the past two years.  I don't know when their nuptial flights are.  The background grid in green is 2.5 mm squares.

Some species of Tetramorium for sure. Knowing that, it is most likely T. Immigrans.
