You've guessed it, another ant from Sub.  Oh, and guess what, another THA founding thing...  I have had these and have never used them before; even with my old ants so I thought I should actually try them.  So far it seems like the ants like them.  This is the biggest brood out of all my ants so far, a small amount of larvae and a bunch of eggs.  I also gave her a dead fruit fly as protein for the larvae.  She is pretty active and likes to scale the walls a bit.

It is also time for an update.  So with this queen, about 6 workers did show up, but then about a week later, they all vanished.  there were no holes for them to get out of.  No way anything could have gotten in.  It was all just really confusing to me.  Any who, she has not produced a single egg or anything since the workers disappeared.  I have fed her with a cricket abdomen and sugar water; which she takes readily.  She currently just roams around a bit and then usually stays in her chamber most of the time.

Mine are blowing up. Is it warm enough for her? I kept mine above 80F all summer during the day and at 80F in the evening.

I guess I never got around to closing this journal down.  The queen ended up killing her workers and then herself back in 2016.
