It's November in California and it just rained recently. I was wondering which species were flying right now, if any at all.

I think bracymrymex patigonicus might still be flying but not sure. There were flights about 2 weeks ago. It would have to be after an 85+ degree day at night with not necessarily rain.

Interested buying in ants? Feel free to check out my shop

Feel free to read my journals, like this one.

Wishlist:

Atta sp (wish they were in CA), Crematogaster cerasi, Most Pheidole species

I would agree with AntsCali, but I have been finding some harvester ants recently I will update you on it when I find out the species.

I am about 17 years old now and have been always wanting to have my own YouTube channel like AntsCanda or Andrews YouTube channel. I am going to start getting into this hobby of mine full-time. I wish you all luck with your ant keeping!

There is this chart you can look at.  Just figure out what species you're looking for and compare it to the data here.  It's not complete nor is it the tell-all for exactly when ants will fly, but it's a good place to check.

A lot of invasive ants like B. patagonicus will fly year round.

For the most part, I wouldn't expect to see anything November through January in California.

I was in Williamsburg, Virginia a week ago  and Lasius had a flight, I was not able to determine species.

Where I live we have had unseasonably warm temperatures and i think some S. invicta flew because alates were in a nest one day and gone the next. I didn't see any dealates though.
