EDIT: After the last cleaning i added some substrate and the entrance changed
So here is a small image of said entrance:
Simple information about population, tonight i had about 10 workers scavenging and removing substrate from the nest, so colony is growing. I'm impatient what it will mean for hot temperature time, i fell like their getting ready.
Being relatively active in the early night i can now show how much they have dug from the pure substrate layout outside the outworld, if you compare the greyish pebble to the fine ground red sand
(ps: could be nice to upload videos on the forum)
And every day some more substrate is brought up, now at night they are about 10 to 11 active workers outdoors. One worker is constantly getting sugar the others only re arrange or excavate.
Here again mor dug up Substrate from the 2n layer.
Wow, this is a cool colony..
Looking forward to how this develops.
Having a new look at the substrates déposit in found 3 new empty pupae at least one large.

Same spot tonight, a dozen of empty pupae and a lot of activity outside of the nest. I'm very happy to see that they are growing still and are getting less shy to light.
it has been a month a now and i can say the colony has grown, i am currently breeding crcikets as food for them they seem to adore the small ones.
They have finally decided to dig a big chamber that is in contact with the glass, visibility is still not good but with a bit of light you can see the shiny repletes. They have also become very very active during night and day. Now having dozens of workers roaming the formicarium with substrate, sugar or protein i remove the the dug up substrate every two weeks trying to count the pupae. The colony must have over a 50 workers now.
Here some night pictures of the substarte and the entrance.

Hello everyone
Here comes a medium update on the honeypots !
i have counted 30 empty pupae this week and the protein intake has doubled, I'm back to giving them usual natural honey which they seem to enjoy.
I have 3 clear chamber intakes from the glass panels but because of light i can't have any decent image, i will try my best during next week. You can clearly see the pupae and about five or six huge repletes.
so on and all the colony is thriving and I'm just happy to see them live it out. Next week i will receive a new lid which will stop them from roaming in the room during night or throwing garbage on the desk.
See you all thanks for reading
