the ants had really grown in numbers, now scaling at around 350 individuals, due to the low temperatures of the winter, the ants had no eggs or brood

two more generations of workers had hatched, almost tripling in numbers.
the summer is nearly over, but the queen didn't seem to stop in laying new eggs everyday.

the colony reached 1000 workers, i moved them into a new nest i made out of acrylic at school.
the new nest has a problem, there is no water source in the nest, so i had to place test tubes filled with water in the outworld, the ants chewed on the cotton balls non stop 24/7, if i leave them unchecked, they will drown themselves.

i forgot to check on them, they chewed through the cotton, the water flooded the acrylic nest, drowning most of the colony, but luckily the queen is still alive.
i moved the rest of the colony into a small 3d printed nest, hoping they would recover.

Usually we post about current ongoing journals. You shouldn’t start multiple threads about past ants you kept since you can not continue the journal

Another thing mentioned in your other journal, I wouldn’t keep exposing yourself buying illegal ant off the internet. You have posted three different messor species and colonies now and there is no way to get messor legally in the USA other than black market.

Well I have the whole thing recorded so I don’t see problems in that
